Description
This set consists of a measuring cup base and a matching removable reamer top, crafted from uranium glass. Often referred to as Vaseline glass due to its yellow-green tint in natural light, the material exhibits a strong neon green fluorescence when exposed to ultraviolet light. The measuring cup features a vertically ribbed body and an angular, faceted handle characteristic of early 20th-century pressed glass. The reamer lid includes a multi-finned cone and a stepped rim designed to sit securely on the cup. Functional measurement markings are embossed into the glass on opposite sides of the cup. One side features increments for 1/4 CUP, 1/2 CUP, 3/4 CUP, and ONE CUP. The reverse side indicates fluid ounces with markings for 2 OZ., 3 OZ., 4 OZ., 5 OZ., 6 OZ., 7 OZ., and 8 OZ. No manufacturer marks or signatures are visible on either piece.
