The first volume is bound in ledger-style marbled boards with a dark cloth spine and features a handwritten paper label on the front cover reading Antigo Journal DAILY Comics 7 and 8 / 37. The interior contains full pages from The Antigo Daily Journal of Antigo, Wisconsin, with dates spanning July and August 1937. Content includes period news headlines such as STRIKE ENDS AT INLANDS STEEL PLANT alongside extensive runs of daily comic strips including Alley Oop, Wash Tubbs, Boots and Her Buddies, and Freckles and His Friends. The second volume is a green cloth-bound folio with the spine stamped in black DAILY ARGUS and APRIL 1957. This volume contains pages from The Daily Argus of Mount Vernon, New York, with issues dating from April 1957 through at least October 1961. The contents include a mix of local news, advertisements for mid-century consumer goods such as Summer Dresses and auto seat covers, and various comic strips including The Flintstones, Popeye, and Donald Duck.
