Description
This collection consists of seven pieces of fine porcelain in the Givenchy Rose pattern, designed by the House of Givenchy for exclusive distribution through The Franklin Mint. The set comprises a large pitcher with a high scrolled handle, a wide wash basin with a scalloped rim, a pair of taper candlesticks with flared bases, an arched mantel clock, a tall vase with a ruffled gilded rim, and a small lobed trinket dish. Each piece is decorated with a transfer-printed motif featuring pink rose blossoms and buds on green stems. The items are finished with gilded gold-toned bands at the rims and bases. The clock features a circular white face with black Roman numerals and decorative hands. All pieces bear a black backstamp on the underside which reads Givenchy Rose BY Givenchy EXCLUSIVELY FROM THE FRANKLIN MINT FINE PORCELAIN ? 1988 GIVENCHY.
